Winner of world’s first King’s BIS Gold Cup for Invention

At the 2014 World Invention Awards at The Savoy hotel London, H.H. Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa presented the H.M. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa bis Gold Cup for Invention (King’s bis Gold Cup) to honour exceptional creativity, providing the benchmark on the international stage for innovation and invention. The winner of The World Invention award was Azizi Miskon of Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM). This invention consists of a bio reactor and transcutaneous electrical stem simulation system that can increase cells proliferation while maintaining and improving their functions purposely developed for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine application.
